Kona Women's Workshops Inspire

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Kona resident, Tina Kitchens, took action on Gandhi’s famous words, when she arranged with Hawaii Parks & Recreation/ Culture and Arts Department to create a bi-monthly workshop for women in Kona, to come together to learn, share, and give back to each other. This was the beginning of Kona Women’s Workshop, on Thursday evenings at Hale Halawai, 75-5760 Ali`i Drive in Kailua.

The first year, Tina gave the workshops herself. This year, she is calling out to other local women to share their gifts and insights.  If we want a place for ourselves in Kona, we need to create it with our own energy.  Please think of what you do in life or have done in the past that has brought you joy and that you can share with other women.  We would love to hear from each and every one of you.  Our goal is to fill our schedule through June 2010.
